Educating your clients about natural health will help them look and feel their best.

CNM (College of Naturopathic Medicine) offers a unique approach to health, which can enhance your clients’ results.

Whether it’s weight-loss, skin problems, or premature ageing that your clients want help with, these outward signs are symptoms of something else going on in the body. Our parents, grandparents, and distant ancestors, faced other problems, but would not have had to deal with the modern toxicity of our food supply, environment, and lifestyle that is now causing a slew of 21st century health and beauty issues.

From xenoestrogens in pesticides and plastics, to too little of the right kind of dietary fat, it is easy for imbalances to occur that will play havoc with our hormonal system and impact our health and appearance. If the delicate balance of the microorganisms that live within us is disrupted, then our digestive system is affected, taking its toll on every aspect of our lives.  As well as the way we look, even our mood depends on getting the balance right!

Prevention is, of course, better than cure. But when things go wrong, the body has an awe-inspiring capacity to try to heal itself, if we provide it with the right conditions. The great thing about natural therapies is that they offer effective and safe ways to promote health and vitality.

By knowing more about natural therapies you can help educate your clients to develop healthier lifestyles and enhance the results that they get. Their results could even win you more clients. Being qualified in a natural therapy, say as a Nutritional Therapist, can also add an extra dimension to your work as a beauty therapist, and increase variety and job satisfaction, too.

What can I study at CNM (College of Naturopathic Medicine)

CNM is the UK and Ireland’s largest training provider in natural therapies, offering Diploma Courses which will give you a professional qualification to practice in a range of therapies, plus an exciting range of Short Courses and Postgraduate Courses.

What makes us unique? All CNM courses are based on ‘Naturopathy’ or ‘Nature Cure’, – that’s the body’s ability to heal itself if given the right help – in combination with the latest evidence-based research. Students learn about preventative strategies to ward off health problems, and how to identify contributory factors when problems arise. You will learn how to support your clients holistically with effective and appropriate natural therapies to address toxicity or deficiencies, and help them to rebalance.

Part-time classroom study allows face to face learning, and flexible study options to fit around your commitments.  Unless you come from a health background, all CNM Diploma Courses begin with the study of Biomedicine, before specialist training begins in your chosen field. You also get hundreds of hours of clinical practice so that on graduating you have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to be a successful natural health practitioner.

How will this impact your career? Many graduates practice solely in their specialism, such as a Nutritional Therapist, or an Acupuncturist. Some combine this with their former career, for example, as a Personal Trainer, Nurse, or Beauty Therapist. Others use their knowledge to write recipe books, become a successful blogger, develop a natural skincare range, work in health media, or create a new healthy food product, for example. The possibilities are endless! Here are some of our courses:
