Czech & Speake is the English-owned luxury brand, known globally for its exclusive period and contemporary bathroom ranges. Founded in 1978 by Frank Sawkins in London’s prestigious Jermyn Street, this design-led family company has developed from an insider brand into the quintessence of luxurious interiors. Presenting an allencompassing “luxurious bathing” experience, Czech & Speake offers the highest quality design bathroom fittings, furniture, sanitary ware and accessories, along with lavish shaving items, and leather goods. Czech & Speake is a specialist brand devoted to the complete luxury bathing experience, taking cues from historic artistic movements of the 20th century, Englishness and heritage is at the company’s heart, showing through in all we do.

As a period of ‘English design history’, the Edwardian ‘Golden Era’ was relatively short, running from the beginning of the 20th century to the outbreak of the 1st World War. Heavy Victorian design gave way to a much lighter aesthetic and a new elegance emerged coupled with efficiency, functionality and fine craftsmanship. Czech & Speake pay homage to this sophisticated period and present their luxurious and beautifully conceived collection of Edwardian Fittings for the kitchen and bathroom.

Historical accuracy together with superb engineering result in a collection which comprises of basin and bidet taps, bath taps, shower, kitchen and bath mixers and heated towel rails. The fittings are all made from the finest solid brass, plated in a number of premium finishes including chrome, nickel and DuraGold. Concealed and wall mounted options are offered and fine English porcelain or Petrified Oak is used on indices and handles for a crisp and tasteful look.

The limited edition Petrified Oak kitchen mixer features two valve levers sleeved in petrified oak. This beautiful polished wood is certified over 5000 years old and has both elegance and practicality. The curved spout pivots for ease of use. The sink mixer range is made from solid brass with bone china fittings and combines modern ceramic disc technology with elegant design. All sink mixers feature ¼ turn ceramic
cartridges, giving full on to off with 90 degrees. The adjustable unions and two spout sizes give considerable flexibility in installation.

Czech & Speake designs are created with the greatest attention to detail inherent across all our products in the knowledge that they will pass the test of time and be around for decades.
